Ariana and Uncle Woe...

A digi scrapbook page about my husband's love for his niece, Ariana. That little girl, now 3 years old, has Joseph wrapped around his little finger.  She can get anything she wants, as long as she gives him a smile and a hug.  When she was little, she couldn't say "Joe", so she affectionately referred to him as "Uncle Woe."  It was a sad day when she finally learned to pronounce her J's.

Journaling reads...
One thing is for sure... "Uncle Woe"loves his Ariana.  And although Ariana sometimes doesn't want to be snuggles, "Uncle Woe" is always there to lend a helping hand, whenever she's ready.  "That stinkin' baby!"

Homecoming bliss...

This is what I came home to Saturday morning at 730am, after I finished a grueling 16 hour shift... Joseph left early in the morning for a golfing extravaganza, and he made sure all I had to do was take a shower and plop into bed. The kitchen was clean... the bed was made with my side neatly folded down, waiting for me... my nightgown was laid out and the dark curtains was pulled tight all around the apartment, perfect for a daytime sleep.... ahhhhh... Joseph is so wonderful... how did I get so lucky?

I have worked 36hours and had 15 hours of sleep in the past three days... I am exhausted, and happy to have today off, even though it's cleaning day and I won't get much rest. I feel at peace because I know Joseph will be home soon and I will spend the remainder of this busy day in his arms...

My New Roommate

Joseph moved in this weekend... Yes, we're living in sin... *wink*

I wasn't expecting things to feel any different because lately we've been spending most nights together, but I was oh so wrong... IT IS WONDERFUL!!! Just knowing that every day I will come home to him makes me feel incredibly safe and loved...

He got off work early today, and instead of having to go home and get clothes to come to my place, he just came home to OUR place... We spent the rest of the day together hanging pictures and doing laundry (I don't know why, but I love folding his clothes... I think it's because he always gives me this appreciative look, like he's saying "you didn't have to do that, but I love that you did."... That look means everything to me).

Joseph and I always talk about our future together, but this move made it real... Our love feels stronger somehow... And aside from finding a place for his stuffed Homer Simpson dolls (and matching SLIPPERS!!!), everything is perfect!!... (Homer is actually starting to grow on me)...

A Declaration of love...

Joseph is lying next to me right now and I can't help feeling overwhelmed with absolute love for this man... I love coming home to his sleeping face, and having him wake up long enough to wrap his arms around me and shower me with "a thousand kisses." What can you say about a man like that? No wonder I can't wait to plan our wedding (I already have the guest list... shhhh!! Don't tell anyone...), he's too wonderful to imagine a life without him. The sound of his voice could talk me off a ledge and a night with him watching trashy shows on VH1 is the stuff kids dream of... :)

You are the love of my life, and I'm blessed to know you... I love you so much!!

Weekends, Classes and Inspriration

Joseph and I had an amazing weekend just hangin' (still didn't go golfing, but hopefully soon)... went to his folks to check in, and then to mine for an impromptu pool party in their new backyard (which we have official named "The Resort")... it's unbelievably gorgeous and so relaxing, especially when mom is cookin' on the grill... Maureen brought the two girls over, and we just kicked back and enjoyed the nice weather... This is a pic of my mom with Kelli, who is almost 3 months, and me with Lexi who is 19 months.

I love seeing Joseph with babies... a little foreshadowing of things to come... It's amazing how when love is truly REAL, how good and RIGHT it feels... I love this man...

He is the most genuinely loving man I have ever met... he appreciates me for who I am, no matter what I do, or what kind of mood I'm in, the I feel safest when I'm in his arms...

On another note, I talked to my Mati again, and we set a date of next Monday for our first Color Theory Class... hopefully, I can spread the wealth and post a little outline of what I learn for all my fellow bloggers (along with my homework assignments)... I'm so freakin' excited!! (and a little nervous... it's always a little unsettling when other people are judging your work... thank God Mati is a complete sweetheart... I'm sure she'll be kind, even if my paintings are horrible)...

I'm an avid Amazon.com shopper... I have been buying tons of art books (mixed media, photography, scrapbooking, etc.) and I love the techniques and inspirational projects they offer... they just make you want to play (they also make you want to spend way too much $$ at Michael's, but we won't go there)... I received Mixed Emulsions in the mail yesterday morning and have spent every sitting moment digging through it... I highly recommend it!!! It gives great techniques on how to alter photographs using everything under the sun from stucco to oil paint, and even condensed milk... craziness!! GO BUY IT and get inspired!!
